The area in and around Palm Springs and La Quinta is the place to be April 23rd! It is going to have its fair share of musical entertainment to choose from; there is certainly something for everyone!
One option is to go see Michael Bolton perform live at the Hot Water (also known as the Agua Caliente) Casino at 8pm until 10pm! It is located on the corner of Bob Hope Drive and Ramon Road in Rancho Mirage. There is free Valet parking as well as self-parking. Michael Bolton, the multi winning Grammy singer and songwriter, is also a social activist. He has sold more than 53 million albums and singles worldwide, and is currently finishing up another album. He has won 2 Grammys for Best Pop Male Vocal Performance, 6 American Music Awards, and even has a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He has earned more than 24 BMI & ASCAP Awards for his songwriting. He has a very eclectic sound and his music varies across different genres; there is certainly something for everyone to enjoy!
Another option is to go see Julio Iglesias perform at 8pm at the Fantasy Springs Resort. Tickets range from $39 to only $79! A great deal to see a Latin legend perform! He is one of the Top 10 best selling artists of all time and the Top best-selling Latin artist ever. He’s entering his 5th decade of entertaining and has not lost his smooth, romantic, and captivating sound. He’s sold more than 300 million albums and still sells out concerts to date! Be sure to get your ticket ASAP!
For those of you that are a little more hardcore and like the outdoor venues, The Big 4 Festival is highly recommended! The performers include Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax! General Admission tickets start at only $99 to be part of over seven hours of performances! The Big 4 Festival will take place outdoors at the Empire Polo Club. The parking lots open at 11am and day parking is free. The festival will go on rain or shine. It starts at 2pm and goes to 11pm. This is definitely a Festival not to miss, especially for those who love heavy metal music!

There are some exciting things happening this weekend in the La Quinta and Palm Springs area!
Tonight, Friday April 1st, on the Old Town La Quinta Event Lawn, there will be a free moonlight movie showing of Secretariat!! It will begin at dusk around 7pm. Bring your friends, family, a cozy blanket and enjoy a beautiful La Quinta evening! Come early to enjoy dinner at one of the great restaurants, or order your food to-go and eat while you watch! All are welcome, however all children under 13 must be supervised.
Then, from 10am to 4pm on Saturday the 2nd, Old Town La Quinta will be hosting its last ‘Art Under the Umbrellas’ of the season on Main Street! Over 70 artists along with live entertainment will be in attendance! Admission and parking are free for the event! Take advantage of the sun, entertainment and art during the day!
Finish your weekend off by visiting the Certified Farmers’ Market on Sunday morning from 8am until 12:30pm, also on Main Street in Old Town La Quinta. Take advantage of a fresh selection of ripe produce, honey, nuts, cheese, flowers, plants, berries, fresh-squeezed juices, breads, and other assortments of baked goods. There will also be live chef demonstrations and live music for entertainment! Unfortunately, no pets are allowed to the Farmer’s Market for safety and health reasons; but bring the entire family for a fun time!!
